The main tourist attraction of Chittorgarh is its wonderful fort, which is located on a steep hill beside the town. The 7th century Chittorgarh Fort has witnessed many wars fought over to protect the dignity and the respect of the beautiful queen, Padmini. On the way to fort you can see two chhatris or memorials of Jaimal and Kalla marking the spots where they fell while defending the fort during the siege of 1568.You can also visit the Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory) and the Kirti Stambh (Tower of Fame). Besieged thrice by conquerors the city is an example of the tremendous sacrifice of the residents of Chittorgarh.
Other major tourist attractions here are Rana Kumbha's Palace, Padmini's Palace, Kumbha Shyam Temple, Kalika Mata Temple, Government Museum and many gardens and parks.
