Wake up refreshed in the morning and head down for a sumptuous breakfast, after which you gather in the hotel lobby to embark on a sightseeing trip of Delhi City, the first city in a Golden Triangle tour.
As a city-state and home to the capital city of India – New Delhi, Delhi is a potpourri of the many diverse cultures, languages and religions in India, whose relics adorn almost every alleyway. Your drive through the city last night was just a taster. The real thing awaits and you can enjoy it fully with a guided sightseeing tour of Delhi City, which will take you past some of the most famous landmarks of Old and New Delhi, followed by an extensive shopping tour at some of the top shopping centres of Delhi.
The sightseeing tour of Delhi takes you to attractions such as Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Rajghat in Old Delhi and Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Birla Mandir, India Gate, Rasthrapathi Bhawan and Parliament House in New Delhi.
Stop for lunch and then set out once again – this time for a shopping extravaganza to internationally acclaimed boutiques at swanky malls in Saket and Gurgaon and to shopping districts such as Chandni Chowk. Overnight in Delhi
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and embark on the drive to Agra, with an en-route stop at Sikandra, the Tomb of Emperor Akbar. Later, drive on to Agra.
Once you arrive at Agra, continue on your way to your hotel for check-in. Relax for a while and then set out to enjoy a sightseeing tour of Agra. Overnight in Agra
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Jaipur, with an en-route stop at Fatehpur Sikri, once a magnificent capital of Emperor Akbar and now a ghost city.
On arrival at Jaipur, continue to your hotel for check-in.
Relax for a while, enjoy lunch and then set out once again for a Jaipur City Sightseeing Tour. Attractions you visit include City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. The Jaipur sightseeing tour ends with a drop back to the hotel. Guests can enjoy a detour to the markets of Jaipur, along the road leading to Hawa Mahal, and shop for souvenirs as well as gems, textiles, jewels and much more. Johari Bazaar, MI road, Nehru Bazaar, Bapu Bazaar and stalls at Bari & Choti Chaupurs are some of the more popular local shopping districts in Jaipur (Sundays Closed).
Popular markets in Jaipur that we can visit include the Anokhi Museum of Block Printing, where you can enjoy a tour of this dying art as well as shop for unique hand-printed products and Gem Palace, a centuries-old shop run by the crown jewellers to the Maharajah of Jaipur. You can also visit Mojari, a fantastic shoe shop supported by the United Nations to protect the welfares of rural leather workers; Kripal Kumbh for exotic Blue Pottery pieces and Rajasthali, the State Emporium.
Overnight in Jaipur
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and enjoy on an excursion to Amer Fort, a magnificent fort situated on a hillock on the outskirts of Jaipur.
After a tour of Amer Fort, set out to explore Sanganer, where you can enjoy a tour of the workshops where handmade paper is made and shop some more. Later visit an ethnic jewellery emporium for buying precious and semi-precious stones.
Stop for lunch and then set out for the drive back to Delhi. Continue on to your hotel in Delhi for check-in.
Overnight in Delhi
After breakfast, we set out to explore the shopping areas we left on our first couple of days in Delhi. Shopping districts we will visit include Connaught Place and Janpath, where you can shop for a new wardrobe, accessories, holiday souvenirs, antiques, books, shoes and much more. We can also visit the State Emporiums on Baba Kharag Singh Marg, which are stock everything right from arts and crafts to textiles, artefacts, herbs and spices, carpets and accessories. Run by the government, they offer high quality goods at reasonable prices.
After lunch, we head to yet another fabulous shopping destination – Haus Khaz Village, a village of creativity and fashionable chic, where you can shop for some of best fashionable clothing and accessories; hang out at the coolest cafes in the city; and experience a much-welcome respite from the honking cars of the main city.
Note: Markets in different areas of Delhi have weekly holidays on different days, so guests might not be able to shop in all the markets.
Overnight in Delhi
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to the airport in time to board the flight to Bangalore. A Jetways representative will greet you at the Bangalore Airport and escort you to your hotel for check-in.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to the next destination of this shopping tour: Mysore. En-route, stop at Srirangapatnam, a small town famous for its ancient temples.
On arrival at Mysore, continue on to your hotel. Check in, relax and enjoy lunch before setting out to enjoy a sightseeing tour of Mysore. Overnight in Mysore
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and enjoy exploring the city on your own. You can visit the attractions that we missed yesterday or put to good use the extra time by going on a shopping expedition. Mysore is famous for sandalwood products including incense sticks, sandalwood carvings, oils and perfumes as well as the exquisite Mysore Silk saris. Visit the Government Silk Factory and the Sandalwood Oil Factory – both offer guided tours of work in progress as well as onsite shops, where you can buy the products at reasonable prices.
Later, proceed to the Mysore railway station in time to board the train to Chennai. A Jetways representative will greet you at Chennai railway station on arrival and escort you to the hotel for check-in.
Overnight in Chennai
After breakfast, enjoy a Chennai city sightseeing tour. Attractions that we visit as part of the Chennai sightseeing tour include Fort of St. George, High Court Buildings, Marina Beach, San Thome Cathedral and Kapaleeshwara Temple.
Stop for lunch and then set out once again, this time for a shopping tour across the top shopping destinations of Chennai. You can visit shopping districts such as T-Nagar, Pondy Bazaar and George Town besides exploring shopping malls like Abirami Mega Mall, Express Avenue and Chennai Citi Centre.
Later, return to the hotel laden with bags.
Overnight in Chennai
After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram, two very popular tourist destinations in South India. The drive to Mahabalipuram will take you mostly on the East Coast Road, a pleasant drive with sightings of the Bay of Bengal and pristine stretches of beach.
Once you arrive at Mahabalipuram, go straight to the famous seashore temples. After a brief stop for lunch, continue on the drive to Kanchipuram or the City of Thousand Temples. Though only a little over hundred temples remain today, the city continues to be one of the seven holy cities of India. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silk saris and one can visit its many shops to buy them, though most of the pieces are available in Chennai itself at the same prices.
The excursion ends with a drop, back to your hotel in Chennai.
